Rally Report 2013
- Portsmouth Margaret & Bob
What a cold one, have we ever been so cold, we are all getting a bit fed up with it now!! It was dry though so we have that to be thankful for. Electric by the meter a new one for us, and blimy did we use some electric that weekend just keeping warm. Lovely area to visit, Gunwarf Quays for the ladies and the docks and big ships for everyone. A good turn out for the first rally of the new year.
Thanks to Margaret & Bob.
- Mollington Banbury Barbara & Jim
What a turn up for the books sunshine and warm, we could not believe our luck, long may it continue. A word search that had us all racking our brains with several answers found by members that were not even on the answer sheet. Fresh pasties delivered to our vans by Barbara and home made raspberry jam, what more could we ask for!!
Thanks to Barbara & Jim
- Pugneys Wakefield Beverley & Jeremy
A small exclusive rally with only 5 units. Hot pork pie and mushy peas went down well again. Meal in the pub was great and the weather turned out good as well. What we all thought was going to be a easy quiz on nursery rhymes turned out to be harder than we thought.
Thanks to Beverley & Jeremy. (With help from Pam & Russell.)
- Chipping Norton Judith & Roy
We don’t like to boast but the weather did turn out to be hot and sunny in the end. The quiz on the air went well, it got everyone using there radio’s. A beautiful area to visit, lets hope we return.
What a weekend, weather could not have been better, fish & chips round the flag pole, a meal in the pub, what a treat for us ladies no cooking. A quiz which took us to the tiny church nestling between the farms and a famous TV presenter living next to the church. ( who some were lucky enough to meet, well we met his wife!!! ) Beautiful views.
Thanks to Pam & Russell
A lovely well kept site, all with our own tap!! and electric. A quite relaxing rally, some might say it was smelly at times!!
Thanks to Pat & Alan
Cor blimy what a scorcher!! Weather could not have been better, lovely site, the ice cream man visited, and a nice Chinese meal on Saturday evening. What more could we ask for, oh yes the wood yard machine to be shut off!!!
Thank You Barry & Judy.
A small intimate rally, hard standing, our own water and electric and a near by garden centre.Enjoyed by the few that went.
Thank You Norma & Bill
The holiday rally, unfortunately only 4 units attended. A beautiful area to visit, a lovely turkey dinner cooked by Paul with a little help from the ladies! Very friendly ducks who wanted to share our lunch, and Tammy the pig came to say hello, (she was the other side of the fence).
Thank you to Paul & Betty and to Steph & John (Betty’s niece) for having us.
