Rally Report 2015

  •  Copt Oak AGM

Back to our favourite AGM venue this year. What a hetic weekend. Breakfast for everyone on Saturday morning, BBQ Saturday evening, beautiful steaks cooked by Jon G4TET. Fun and games in the evening trying to pick up a tennis ball with a grabber while blindfolded!! Birthday afternoon tea on Sunday afternoon to celebrate the clubs 35th birthday, with a lovely cake bought from Hayling Island by Bob and Margaret. Think we all ate too much cake!

Big Big thank you’s to everyone who helped all weekend, hard work but well worth it.

  •  Barford Top Margaret & John

A truly old fashioned rally, almost perfect! Loads of signs out, tent up and used on both nights, a quiz which was not quite as bad as we first thought. Weather very good.

Thank you to Margaret and John for reminding us how it should be done!

  •  Kidderminster Margaret & Bob

Thank you to Margaret and Bob for running the rally as Ben & Sandy unfortunately had to pull out as rally marshalls due to family illness.

A lovely site and a good turn out for the last rally of the year

  • Easter Portsmouth

A good turn out of 11 vans for the first rally of the year. The weather improved as the weekend went on with a scorching day on Monday. A quiz with a difference, once you had the hang of it was not to bad!! A lovely area to visit.

Thank you to Margaret & Bob for running the rally.

  •  Oxford Mayday bank holiday Jenny & Mark

A lovely site with great views. A bit stressful before the rally with no water or elsan emptying point but it all came right in the end. A visit from a hen party staying in the next field gave us some entertainment. Jenny was busy taking photos of our vans so we could guess who’s was who!! Very windy for us all on the day of departure but we all got home safely.

Well done Jenny & Mark for your first time as rally marshalls.

  •  Rhyader Spring Bank holiday Paul

A personnal favourite of ours! Roads very twisty and up and down but well worth it for the views. The weather could have been better but mainly dry. A trip round the field on the horse and cart was a bumpy bonus. Steph & John make us very welcome. The duck eggs are good as well.

Thank you Paul

  • Fortway Pat & Alan

Fast becoming a favourite site for many. The fishing can’t be beaten or are they just good fisherman tales!!! Good weather as well, that always helps.

Thank you Pat & Alan

  •  Marnham Fisheries Maria & Steve

A nice site, lovely and quite and peaceful and flat a bonus there!  Plenty of room. A funny smell now and then, don’t think it was Steve’s cooking! We even walked to the Pub Saturday night for a superb meal. Plenty to see in the area. A site we need to return to.

Thank You Maria & Steve.
